Accessibility statement

Last updated: October 2026

We want every homeowner to be able to use this site, read what we publish and book a consultation — whatever device they use and however they navigate.

What we aim for

We build this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard named in Ontario's Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and reflected in accessibility legislation in the other provinces we serve.

What that means in practice

  • Every image carries a text alternative, or is marked as decorative so a screen reader skips it.
  • Every form field has a visible label, and errors are announced, not just coloured red.
  • The whole site can be used with a keyboard alone, and the focused element is always visible.
  • A "skip to content" link lets you jump past the navigation.
  • Headings follow a real order, so a screen reader can navigate by structure.
  • Text reflows down to a phone screen and can be zoomed without losing content.
  • Animation is reduced automatically if your device asks for that.
  • The site is published in English and French.

Where we know we fall short

We test as we build, but no site is perfect and ours changes often. We are not aware of any barrier that prevents someone using the site today. If you find one, it is a bug to us, and we will fix it.

Telling us about a problem

If any part of this site is difficult to use, or you need information from it in another format — large print, plain text, or read to you over the phone — contact us and we will provide it at no cost.

Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what got in the way. We aim to reply within two business days, and we will tell you what we are doing about it.

Accommodation during a consultation

Our consultations happen by phone. If a phone call does not work for you, say so when you get in touch and we will arrange another way to speak with you.
