Rebates of up to $10,000 are the maximum available to qualifying homeowners for eligible upgrades. Not every home or upgrade qualifies, and amounts depend on the upgrades chosen and the program. Programs, eligibility requirements and incentive amounts are set by each program's administrator and may change. Final eligibility is decided by the program administrator. Canadian Energy Standard is an independent, privately owned company. The current amounts for each upgrade, as listed by the program in September 2026. Some upgrades need a home energy assessment first; others can be claimed on their own.

Overall caps. For upgrades that start with a home energy assessment, homes heated mainly with Enbridge natural gas can receive up to $5,000 in total, and homes heated mainly with electricity, oil, propane or wood up to $10,000.
Not covered. Gas furnaces, central air conditioners, tankless gas water heaters, roofing and EV chargers are not listed upgrades in this program.
