Who this is for
Is this right for your home?
- Homes with solar, or adding it
- Areas with frequent power outages
- Households that rely on sump pumps, medical equipment or working from home
- Homeowners on time-of-use electricity rates
Signs it's time
Worth a closer look if…
- Outages have left you without heat, a sump pump or internet
- You produce more solar power during the day than you use
- You want backup without a fuel generator
- You are adding solar and want it designed for storage
Upgrade or stay put
What changes, and what doesn't
Real costs depend on your home, so we don't publish guesses. Your written package puts actual numbers on both options.
If you stay put
Surplus solar goes to the grid, and during an outage a grid-tied system switches off along with everything else.
If you upgrade
Your own stored power in the evening and during outages. Batteries are usually chosen for backup first, with bill savings as a secondary benefit.
Rebates & financing
Rebates for battery storage
- Solar panels and battery storage: up to $10,000 combined, with no home energy assessment needed.
- Batteries are funded as part of a solar and storage project, so plan them together.
- We confirm eligibility for your specific system before you apply.

Will a battery pay for itself?
On bill savings alone, batteries rarely pay back quickly at today's prices. Most homeowners buy them for backup power and resilience.
Can I add a battery to solar I already have?
Often yes, technically. Rebate programs may only fund batteries installed together with new solar, so check before you plan around a rebate.
How long will a battery run my home?
It depends on the battery size and what is running. We size around the essential circuits you choose.
Does it need maintenance?
Very little. The system monitors itself, and we check it as part of regular service.
