Signs it's time
Worth a closer look if…
- Charging overnight on a regular outlet isn't enough
- You have bought or ordered an EV
- You want charging scheduled for cheaper rates
- You are not sure your panel can handle a charger
Upgrade or stay put
What changes, and what doesn't
Real costs depend on your home, so we don't publish guesses. Your written package puts actual numbers on both options.
If you stay put
Slow outlet charging, or relying on public chargers that cost more and take time out of your day.
If you upgrade
A full charge overnight at home, timed to cheaper rates, and sized to work with solar if you have it.
Rebates & financing
Rebates and EV chargers
- Home EV chargers are not a listed upgrade in Ontario's Home Renovation Savings program.
- If you are adding solar at the same time, solar panels and battery storage can qualify for up to $10,000.

Do I need a panel upgrade?
Not always. We check your panel's capacity first. Some homes need an upgrade, others can use load management instead.
How long does installation take?
Most installs take less than a day once any permit is in place.
Which charger should I buy?
We recommend based on your vehicle, where you park and your panel capacity, and install models suited to Canadian winters.
Can it charge from my solar panels?
It can use solar power when the panels are producing, and smart scheduling helps line charging up with your system.
