Cookie policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains the cookies this website uses, what each one does, and how to change your choice. It sits alongside our privacy policy, which covers personal information more broadly.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for a site to work at all. Others are optional and are used to understand how a site is being used.
We ask before we track
We do not load analytics until you have agreed to it. Until you choose, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics request is sent. If you decline, nothing is loaded and any analytics cookies already in your browser from this site are deleted.
Accepting and declining are equally easy, and you can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings, which is also linked at the bottom of every page.
Cookies we use
Strictly necessary
These are needed for the site to function and cannot be switched off. They do not identify you.
- Your cookie choice. Stored in your browser so we don't ask again on every page. Kept until you clear it.
- Your language preference. Remembers whether you are reading the English or French site.
- Session and security. Used only in the customer portal, to keep you signed in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. Set only if you sign in.
Analytics — optional, off unless you accept
We use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited and how people move through the site, so we can improve it. We use it to understand the site, not to build a profile of you, and we do not use it for advertising.
- _ga, _ga_<id>, _gid. Set by Google Analytics to tell one visit from another. Typically expire between 24 hours and 2 years.
When analytics is enabled, your IP address is shortened before it is stored, advertising features are switched off, and Google processes the data on our behalf. You can also opt out for every website using Google's browser add-on.
What we do not use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No social media tracking pixels.
- No session recording or heatmap tools.
- No cookies that follow you to other websites.
Changing or withdrawing your choice
Use Cookie settings at any time. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings, or block them entirely — the site will still work, though your cookie choice will be forgotten and we will ask again.
Quebec residents
Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) gives you specific rights over your personal information, including the right to withdraw consent. The controls above are how you exercise that choice on this site. Our privacy policy explains how to make a broader request.
