Heating & cooling
Central air conditioning
Reliable central air, installed properly and sized to your home. Before you commit, we price a heat pump next to it, because one outdoor unit can cool in summer and heat in winter.
What we offer
Air conditioning, done properly
Central air conditioners
Efficient units matched to your existing furnace and ductwork.
Heat pump comparison
Every quote shows the heat pump alternative, which cools the same way and heats as well.
Ductwork checks
We check the ducts can move the air the system needs, so it cools evenly.
Smart thermostat pairing
Controls that keep cooling to the hours you actually need it.
Who this is for
Is this right for your home?
- Homes with an air conditioner 12 or more years old
- Homes with no central cooling yet
- Anyone replacing an AC who could use a heat pump instead
- Homes where upstairs rooms stay too hot
Signs it's time
Worth a closer look if…
- The system is 12 years old or older
- It blows warm or weak air
- Your summer electricity bills keep climbing
- Upstairs is much hotter than downstairs
- It needs refrigerant topped up
- It makes new noises or cycles on and off
Upgrade or stay put
What changes, and what doesn't
Real costs depend on your home, so we don't publish guesses. Your written package puts actual numbers on both options.
If you stay put
An ageing air conditioner uses more electricity for the same cooling and is most likely to fail in a heat wave, when installers are busiest.
If you upgrade
A new, properly sized system cools more evenly for less electricity. Choosing a heat pump instead adds efficient heating at little extra cost.
Rebates & financing
Rebates for cooling upgrades
- Central air conditioners are not a listed upgrade in Ontario's Home Renovation Savings program.
- A cold-climate air-source heat pump, which cools the same way and also heats, can qualify for up to $2,000 in a home heated with Enbridge natural gas, or up to $7,500 in a home heated with electricity, oil, propane or wood.
- Eligible smart thermostats also qualify for a rebate.
Amounts as listed by the Home Renovation Savings program in September 2026. Heat pumps must be listed by Natural Resources Canada. The program administrator makes the final decision. Official sources: Save on Energy · Enbridge Gas

Is a heat pump better than a new air conditioner?
A heat pump cools exactly like an air conditioner and also heats. If you are replacing an AC anyway, it is often worth the comparison, and heat pumps can qualify for rebates that air conditioners do not.
How long does installation take?
A typical central air replacement takes about a day.
Can you install AC if I don't have ductwork?
Yes, with a ductless mini-split system, which is usually a heat pump.
How often should it be serviced?
Once a year, ideally in spring before the cooling season.
