The three phases
Most homes don't need everything at once. We work in three phases, starting where the energy actually goes, so each stage sets up the one after it. You can stop after any phase.
Furnace, air conditioning, water heater & attic insulation
Heating and hot water are the largest part of a Canadian energy bill, and attic insulation decides how much of that heat stays in the house. Getting this phase right also means the equipment can be sized smaller.
Replacement windows and insulated doors
With the mechanicals and insulation handled, windows and doors take care of what's left: draughts, cold spots near the glass, and the condensation that damages frames and sills.
Roof replacement and rooftop solar
The roof goes on first, because panels last for decades and nobody wants to pay to remove and refit an array. Then solar is sized for how your home really uses power, including a heat pump or an EV.
