Canadian Energy Standard is an independent Canadian home energy company. We help homeowners heat, cool, power and protect their homes, from cold-climate heat pumps and furnaces to solar panels, batteries, EV chargers, roofing, windows and doors.
Our approach is simple: understand the home first. Every project starts with a senior energy management consultant reviewing your home's energy signature and time of use, so the upgrades we recommend fit the way your home actually uses energy, rather than a one-size-fits-all bundle.

Most homes don't need everything at once. We work in three phases, starting where the energy actually goes, so each stage sets up the one after it. You can stop after any phase.
HVAC & heat retention
Furnace, air conditioning, water heater & attic insulation
Heating and hot water are the largest part of a Canadian energy bill, and attic insulation decides how much of that heat stays in the house. Getting this phase right also means the equipment can be sized smaller.
Windows & doors
Replacement windows and insulated doors
With the mechanicals and insulation handled, windows and doors take care of what's left: draughts, cold spots near the glass, and the condensation that damages frames and sills.
Roof & solar
Roof replacement and rooftop solar
The roof goes on first, because panels last for decades and nobody wants to pay to remove and refit an array. Then solar is sized for how your home really uses power, including a heat pump or an EV.

One system that heats in winter and cools in summer
A heat pump doesn't burn fuel to make heat. It moves heat from one place to another. In summer it takes heat out of your home. In winter it runs in reverse and brings heat in from the outdoor air, even in a deep freeze.
